The 3rd season of the critically-acclaimed web series The Actress debuted a couple of weeks ago on YouTube and so far, it’s been pretty great. AND YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING IT!
Created by and starring Ann Carr, who co-wrote the episodes with her husband Warren Holstein, the series centers around a struggling New York actress named Hannah, and the Seinfeld-like nutjobs who pop in and out of her life. In addition to Carr, the cast is made up of various personalities from the local alternative comedy community (UCB Theatre, The Magnet Theatre, The PIT, etc.) so that makes The Actress a must see.
The series has been picked to be screened at this year’s The Friars Club Comedy Film Festival. So, if you’ll be in NYC on April 2nd, check it out with a live audience!
Watch the series from the comfort of your own home:
Season 3, Episode 1: “The Dermatologist” (with guest stars The Wire‘s Michael Kostroff, Zach Broussard, Improv Everywhere‘s Cody Lindquist, and Heather Jane Rolff)
